ABOUT THE COLLEGE

The college was established by Sri Jayaram Educational Trust in 2002 with 3 branches viz. CSE, EEE and ECE. It came under CavinKare Management in March 2010 and the name of the college has been changed from Sri Jayaram Engineering College to CK College of Engineering & Technology (CKCET) with the same code number and now the college offers 5 branches viz. Civil, CSE, EEE, ECE (2 Divisions) and Mech. (2 Divisions) in UG and Applied Electronics in PG and also MBA.

The college is located in the heart of Cuddalore town with a maximum of 5 minutes travelling time from Cuddalore Bus Stand and Railway Station which is adjacent to the Kedilam River and Silver Beach, in 17 acres of land with 245000 sq. ft. RC building. The Man behind this management is Mr. CK. Ranganathan, the Chairman & Managing Director of CavinKare Group of Companies who is in the business of FMCG, Dairy, Beauty Saloons, Restaurants, etc. with a turnover of Rs. 1500 crores. CavinKare stands for quality. It is an Indian Multinational company, exporting its products to many countries and having own production centre in abroad. Some of the major brands of CavinKare are Nyle, Chik, Ruchi, Cavin's, Meera, Cruncho, Green Trends, Lime Light, Spinz, Fairever, Indica, etc.

The college is well connected by bus routes from Puducherry, Panruti, Villupuram, Chidambaram and Vridhachalam. Excellent transportation arrangement is made by the college for students and faculty members.

Students and staff ratio is maintained as per AICTE norms at 1:15. Experienced and Highly qualified educational professionals with excellent research base from reputed colleges and industries have been recruited as faculties. To keep cool mind for relaxed learning, all class rooms and labs are Air-Conditioned. College is having an Oceanic library with huge collections of books. Digital library is under progress. Spacious and hygienic Canteen facility is also available with both veg, & non-veg food items at affordable cost. CKCET also takes pride in equipping the interpersonal skills and shape them to face the challenges without any fear and hesitation through renowned professional agencies like Time & Smart.

CKCET takes pride in providing Smart Campus to students, which is excellent in offering timely information to parents and faculty members. Our entire campus is Wi-Fi enabled campus. Separate hostel with Air-Conditioned facility is also available for boys and girls. Spacious play ground with tracks is under preparation. In order to make the students readily employable, they are given practical knowledge training in relevant industries. Placement facility is also available in our college.

The Graduate Engineering knowledge: Apply the knowledge of mathematics, science, engineering fundamentals, and an engineering specialization for the solution of complex engineering problems.

  1. Problem analysis: Identify, formulate, research literature, and analyze complex engineering problems reaching substantiated conclusions using first principles of mathematics, natural sciences, and engineering sciences.
  2. Design/development of solutions: Design solutions for complex engineering problems and design system components or processes that meet the specified needs with appropriate consideration for public health and safety, and cultural, societal, and environmental considerations.Tea

The students and staffs are made aware of the learning outcomes through the following means:
  • The learning outcomes are published in the college website and also displayed in various places inside the college campus
  • Induction programs are conducted for the newly recruited faculty members to create awareness about programme objectives and learning outcome.
  • The subject handling faculty members explain their students about the objective and outcome of that particular subject
