The department of Science and Humanities consists of Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry and English disciplines which form the strong base-foundation for the whole engineering courses. The department has adequate number of dedicated and well qualified faculty team with specialization in diverse field. It organises periodic guest lectures by inviting eminent scholars and professors to deliver lectures in an engineering approach. The department celebrates "Young CKReators Students Association" every year exclusively for the first year students to encourage them to present and participate in many activities like paper presentation, workshops, quiz programme, seminar, conference etc. making learning a pleasure. The department not only teaches but also makes the students to experience the syllabus by bringing them to factories and industries under the banner of IPKT (Industry Practical Knowledge Training). We give special importance to communication skills in the name of CSK. We provide a hour for CSK everyday to the students. The language lab helps immensely in learning English and communication skills in order to handle interviews efficiently. The Physics and Chemistry laboratories in the department are well equipped with the entire infrastructure specified by Anna University and AICTE with sufficient number of instruments, apparatus, chemicals, spectrometers etc., for each and every students to do all the experiments..
